Cake Smash photography has become increasingly popular in the UK in recent years, so what's it all about? Let me explain....
What is a Cake Smash andwWhy should you do this?!
Confused? It's exactly what the title says. A Cake Smash has become a popular way to mark a baby’s first birthday, and get some fantastic memories. Your baby along with a cake and myself will make some remarkable images.
Before the Cake Smash I will of course take a few standard portrait photographs of your baby, an ideal time for a mini portatit session.
The actual Cake Smash doesn't normally last very long, although some babies do require some encouragement. After the smash it's splash time in the vintage bath tub, these photos finish the session of nicely.
What should the baby wear?
A Cake Smash is a quite messy. I wouldn't suggest a huge amount of clothing. Think simple. Remember they get messy! I do have outfits that you can borrow. Tutus, party hats and nappy covers. Or maybe purchase you own for a keepsake? I can arrange an outfit for around £30
Sessions are suitable for both 1 & 2 year olds, although maybe it would be a fun activity for kids, teens & adults!!
What's included?
Studio Session
Cake Smash sessions take place in my studio in Harwich and last approx 1 - 1 1/2hour and cost £155 including 6inch round buttercream cake with the number (unpersonalised). You may upgrade to a giant cupcake for £20. Should you want name personalisation a small extra charge will be added.
